Glass Systems entered the first Business Fives Charity football Tournament in Swansea.
It was the first time Business Fives visited Swansea and local teams came together to battle for a place in the national finals in Leeds.
Glass Systems were competing against teams from other companies such as Dunbia, W.G. Davies, Motorpoint, Edenstone Group and Swansea Building Society.
We ended the group stage of 5 games unbeaten and topped the table getting 15 points out of 15 available, scoring 17 goals and only conceding 9. What a great start.
Glass Systems were now in the “Champions League” final, and we came up against the rivals of the day, Dunbia. It was very close game to start, with us being 2-0 down within the first three minutes (oops!) but we managed a very strong comeback, winning 6-3.
Glass Systems not only won the tournament and were unbeaten, but Ricky Kerr, a production worker from our Swansea site won player of the match for the final and top goal scorer with his 18 goals!
Following our success, the icing on the cake was to present Prostate Cymru with the winner’s cheque of £200.
