Noise Reduction

Acoustic laminated is a high-quality laminated glass with a PVB (polyvinylbutyral) acoustic interlayer that considerably reduces noise. It is designed to reflect and absorb the soundwaves and limit sound frequencies moving between the panes of glass, significantly reducing noise intrusion.

Acoustic laminates have a significantly improved performance compared with standard laminated glass of the same composition using conventional PVB.

Acoustic glass is used to improve sound reduction and control environmental noise from the ground and air traffic, school playgrounds, and various other sources such as factories or bars.

The desired acoustic performance can be achieved by combining various thicknesses of glass with
a special PVB interlayer. With a large variety of product combinations, acoustic glass offers the opportunity to achieve specific noise reduction requirements.

ACOUSTIC GLASS

Rw is the weighted sound reduction, in decibels, which incorporates a correction for the ears. C and Ctr are the spectrum adjustments, which are the values added to Rw to consider the characteristics of the sound spectra.

An acoustic IGU offers all the benefits of laminated glass; safety, security, and UV protection without compromising on light transmittance, providing you with all the comfort and security you need at home. Glazing and windows play an important part in reducing unwanted noise.

Acoustic glass can be combined with other products to create a multifunctional product such as solar control, thermal insulation and self-cleaning.
