Climate Appoints New Product Manager

Dan Cox production manager at Climate GlassClimate, the conservatory roof glass division of the Glass Systems Group, has strengthened its production team with the appointment of Dan Cox, who joins as Production Manager.

Dan, who lives in Burnley, Lancashire, but stays in South Wales during the week, has previously worked as Production Manager at a number of major sealed unit companies and brings with him a wealth of experience to the company.

Dan comments: “Climate is a company that is not afraid to invest and have experienced major growth as a result, so when the Production Manager position became available I jumped at the chance to be part of a business that is serious about its future in the industry.

“It may be a long commute for me but John Wood (Chairman) and Alan Atkinson (Managing Director) have such big ideas for Climate I simply couldn’t turn down the opportunity to be involved with such a dynamic and fast growing company.”

Managing Director Alan Atkinson comments: “Dan is highly experienced in sealed unit production and was the ideal candidate for the job – I am delighted to welcome him to Climate.”

Dan’s appointment is the latest step Climate has taken to improve its production in recent times. The company recently invested in an additional auto-cutting table with edge deletion, a new tempering furnace and a fourth Lisec arising machine, meaning they can provide faster turnarounds and a more flexible service for their customers.

“Recent investments mean Climate is better equipped than ever to supply the rise in demand for conservatory roof glass, and there is still room for further growth” Alan comments.

Climate conservatory roof glass is available in five options – Aqua H.P, Active Blue, Activ Neutral, Privacy and 4S – and each options provides a host of benefits for the end user including, solar glare reduction and self-cleaning properties.
