CE MARKING (DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE)
From July 1 2013 legislation dictates that sealed unit manufacturers, toughened glass processors and window and door fabricators will need to CE mark their products and prove their compliance to all relevant legislation. BS EN 12150-1: 2000 (CHARACTERISTICS OF MONOLITHIC FLAT THERMALLY TOUGHENED SODA LIME SILICATE SAFETY GLASS)
Press Glass Insulating Glass Units (IGUs) fully satisfy the requirements laid out in BS EN 12150-1:2000. This means that our IGU’s have passed tests for tolerances, flatness, edgework, fragmentation, and physical and mechanical characteristics. Acquiring this certificate enables us to offer fabricators and installers an IGU that is safe for use in buildings and will not lose its mechanical or thermal characteristics.
BS EN 1279 -2/3 (MOISTURE PENETRATION AND GAS LEAKING/CONCENTRATION TOLERANCES)
Press Glass Insulating Glass Units (IGUs) fully satisfy the requirements laid out in BS EN 1279-2/3. This means that our IGU’s have passed tests for moisture penetration, gas leakage and concentration tolerance. Acquiring this certificate enables us to offer fabricators and installers an IGU that will last for a long period of time without the need for replacement, due to clouding of the unit through leaked gas or internal condensation.
